Tips on taking final delivery?

Are you going to do a thorough inspection of your 1Series before you sign final paperwork? The car isn't yours until you sign the final financial contracts right?

When mine arrives, I'm considering taking my time to go down my list of options and make sure every little thing works.

Turning on the engine and ensure all electronics work, lights, seats etc...

Is this a good idea rather than driving it out of the lot and finding out u have issues later that day?

Your CA should do that with you. A failure to do so would surely cripple any CA on the follow-up phone questionnaire you'll get a few days after you pick up the car. Trust me, your CA is going to want you to answere "5" to every question about your delivery experience. If the CA doesn't volunteer to check out the car with you and demonstrate the features of all your options, you should seek out a supervisor PDQ.

You should go over the car with a fine tooth comb. It is your one opportunity to point out concerns that you may find such as scratches and other imperfections. My wife is great at this!!

Once you drive off the lot, anything noticed may not be taken care of at BMW expense.
