How many miles did your 135i have upon delivery?
Okay, here's my situation. I'm buying a 135i from a local dealership. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact model I wanted so it's being shipped from another dealer out of state. so we went ahead and did the paperwork and whatnot and they're suppose to call me when it comes arrives in a couple of days.
the problem is that the salesman failed to ask the other dealership how many miles were on the car that was being transfered to his dealership. come to find out that the car already has 200 miles on it. this bothered me because I know those 200 miles are more than likely test driven miles which of course could be easy miles or they could be "let's see what the car can do" miles. I'm also worried if there's any cosmetic defects on either the interior or exterior part of the car during those 200 miles. the saleman told me they would inspect the car from top to bottom but I'm still worried that the car might not be up to my standards which are nothing less than perfect. after all, I have 40,000 reasons why the car should be perfect. so I'm now wondering if I'm being too picky or if I should be concerned? what do you guys think? |

Uh, 200 miles sounds like you're buying a used car. Change the car or get the price discounted accordingly.
Aren't they supposed to sign some form that says the car will have less than 12 miles on it? I got a form like that, but maybe it's only for ED purchasers? BTW, I had .1 miles on the ODO when I picked up:biggrin:

My car had 2 miles on it...after we filled it up with gas (with me driving). The gas station is really close to the dealer. I was pretty pleased to see the low number, but I think anything under 10 miles is reasonable.
