Looks like as of 1am, the Jupiter Diamond is still in San Diego. Hopefully, leaving soon enough for PH. So close I can taste it.

UPDATE: As of 8:42pm, she is back en route to PH. I'm guessing a 8 hours or so to get there.

As soon as the car hits Port Hueneme you will no longer have the ability to track your car, at that time all tracking is available from your dealer. Ask em', they'll tell you.

Here's a heads-up, when your dealer calls to tell you the hot-rod is ready to go home, go to the dealer, luxuriate in the proximity of your car, then, take a few minutes to scrutinize the paint, look for scratches, point-out same to dealer. We folk who ordered JB found more than a few 'issues'. Should enough complaints be registered, BMW might actually fire the paint-scratching imbeciles BMW currently employed at the West-Coast VPC. I'm serious, scrutinize your paint, you may not like what you see. Good luck.

Great suggestion Surname. I was at the dealer lot to check out their 1st 1er delivery and that happened to be a JB. I could clearly see the marring on the paint but did not hear of any complaints from the owner. On lighter colored cars, the defects may not be so obvious but can still be seen under the right lighting conditions. I don't know if it will help but I will bring an LED light just in case the lighting isn't conducive for inspection. I wonder if red, UV or black lighting can make it any easier to spot light scratches or marring.

i still have to figure out when my next ship is coming in. i'm hoping i can get it on the 25th or 26th but that's a stretch. more realistically, i'm looking at the 28th or the 31st. i'm basing those dates on the ships that are arriving here. first thing for me to do will be to get as much muck out of the car, switch to the tii wheels, and do a tint.

Well good luck...i'm sure many fellow 1ers are pulling for ya as well. I'll be getting tint done same day as pick up myself. Other than that, I took leave from work for a week or two after, so I'm all set to fall in love all over again.

That will happen in spades. The car has an uncompromising personality, Teutonic, compelling, he will will not be ignored, you will pay attention, obey.

So you find some scratches and marring... then what? Are you going to refuse delivery? Ask the dealer to buff them out and risk more swirl marks?

Unless its something blatantly eye catching it wont make a difference.

I would use that opportunity to get negotiate a better deal and/or get more freebies.
