CarPlay

Just bought a 2019 M4 Comp and I’m trying to get CarPlay set up.I do have a CarPlay adapter from a previous car but thought this car came with it already fitted.

Any suggestions on getting it working or do I need to use the wireless adapter.

I think most if not all 2019 f82 should have CarPlay standard.

That’s what I thought but been on my BMW and it’s asking for £265 CarPlay prep.

I was in the exact same boat, I've just paid the £265 which may have been madness but I was going round in loops looking at all the info for 3rd party activation... so it's working now but next issue, fullscreen, which I now know needs a flash on mine (I'm NBTevo_Q and need X or Y).

I think I need to get my PM's working to use the legends on here for help.

That’s what I’m like looking on line trying to find solutions.I can’t bare paying £265 for something so simple.

And what hurts more is now I want to flash an upgrade I prob could have added CarPlay at that point, not sure. But everything I was seeing was (to me) suggesting the newer? units need the BMW option but I'll chalk it down to more investment in my favourite brand.

Do you mean a new update would include CarPlay and have full screen functionality?

Yes with coding full screen CarPlay is possible. Also video in motion.

Always a great service, the widescreen CarPlay for Kubax is better than oem

I had a G30 before my F82 so the widescreen CarPlay on F82 was almost the same size.

In America, that is a true statement. 2018 it was optional. 2019+ it's standard.
