DYNO Results: DINAN/BMS Intake
Hello Everyone!
So today I told my CEO that I had a "doctors appointment from 12 till 2". Secretly I sped on over to MD automotive in Westminster, CA to run a Dyno on my 135i! (Dont tell on me!) What I have done to the car so far: DINAN Stage 1 Flash BMS Intake "Gold Tee" exhaust (I actually used a ball-bearing) From other posts and my own research the below numbers are almost pretty darn close to correct for a stock baseline 135i: 263 wheel Horse Power at 5500 RPMs 274 foot pounds of torque at 3250 RPMs I will discuss no further about my vehicle and simply show you a video as well as the dyno results Video of Dyno (wait till it hits 30 seconds...oh and sorry I forgot to insert my shout-out 1addicts.com) Dyno Results Picture fixed Max HP 323 Max Torque 354 Max Boots 14 psi A note regarding the BMS intake: I really do not care if it gives me more horsepower or not. The sound in of itself is reason enough for me to keep it. I LOVE hearing the turbos spool up. I will be keeping an after-market intake as long as it does not show a loss in power over stock |

wow that is really disappointing on a dynojet, stock 135i has dyno'd at 290hp on a dynojet, the 263/274 number is on a mustang which reads much lower than a dynojet.
I would try it again with the stock intake and see if there is a difference, you should be making 350+ on a dynojet though. |

it's the dynojet, it should be reading more like 350hp/380tq to equal the dinan claims of 384/421. the only way to know for sure would be to do a baseline dyno stock then dyno with the flash, same car, same dyno.

There is a possibilty that the intake is making you lose power. Like someone said above, you should dyno again with a stock intake...it is probably why your A/F ratio is off.

Numbers look good, air/fuel ratios look good. The Dinan tune does 315-320rw on 91 octane so you're right on par. And some dynos read higher or lower than others. A stock 135 should do around 270rw on a dynojet.

Impossible! We've done a lot of dyno testing and there are gains every time. And the air/fuel ratios are closed loop so no intake mod can change them. Only an ECU flash or piggyback can alter the air/fuel ratios.
