Montego Blue + Coral Red???
My problem is that I like Motego Blue and Coral Red, but i think that combo would look really strange together.
So, what Exterior color will look good with Red (not black or grey- been there, done that). Muchas Gracias amigos! P.S. My wife thinks that the red interior is gay but i don't care. |

Frankly I agree with your wife, especially if you're not interested in black or grey. White would work. The problem with red is that you can't put it with any other real colors, only things in the black-grey-white spectrum.

Children,
It's silly to label a color as "gay". Unless you're talking about hot pink. That's pretty gay. They've pretty much locked that color up. Here's a great example of a great red interior on a great car (it's already been sold, don't bother calling the good people at West German): http://west-german-bmw.ebizautos.com...e-2185543.html At the end of the day, it's whatever floats your boat. And if your wife doesn't like it, get it in manual. That way she'll never drive it. 8)

Monaco Blue with Coral Red. Monaco Blue is super dark metallic blue- almost black at night and a gorgeous color that's a classic from BMW.
Coral Red would set it off pretty well. Keep in mind this is a small sporty premium car, not a big sedan...it's in it's character to handle big color. And screw all the talk about verifying masculinity- it's the dummies who probs with that. Just carry a club in the back seat. |

You do have to keep in mind that Montego + Coral will affect your resale value. Although I think your color choice would look stunning, the market probably disagrees. |

Life is too short man, buy what you like in the color you like and have fun.
Someone wants a VW Beetle in hot pink with lavender interior knock yourself out. But you might also want to know how to fight or you could get beat up alot. |

Someone posted a pic on another forum of their e90 with Montego/Coral. I thought it looked really cool. Definitely a flashy combo. However there is the possibility that you'd get sick of it after a while. Resale is also another consideration. It seems that more traditional colours sell easier.

I'm a big fan of the coral red, but the Superman colors (red and montego) overshadow the overall aesthetic appeal of the car. It's really a too-strong combination, for me, but get it if you want to relly be noticed. I really like red leather with any of the neutral colors (black, white, silver, SGM). It's ok with Monaco blue, but not great IMO. Cashmere silver goes nice with the red, but more for a bigger, more stately car like a 6-series. I'd avoid Crimson and Sedona with the red interior. It is possible to have too much red... Were I going with leather (which I'm likely not), I'd be in with Coral Red and Jet Black paint. Hands down one of the nicest combos for this car...

As soon as I saw this question I thought of Superman, but if you like it, who cares what people think. With a darker blue like monaco, it might work well. Just go with what you like bro. Personally I would not get that interior with monaco because I can not get the Superman thing out of my head. I would go with black probably.

Superman cars are pimp!
I'll order one if I can. The info we recieved before the configurator said that combo wasnt avaiable, but as of a couple of days ago it let me build one and save it... Coral would also look good with AW, SGP and Black IMO...

You can build one on bmwusa.
I like blue exteriors and I like red interiors, but i'm still a little unsure about them together. Alpine White/Imola Red would be your best bet i think. I never really liked white cars until i got my M Coupe. I love the color combo |

I actually had not read the thread yesterday, just replied...
I'm actually starting to agree, it might be TOO bright. I like it, but yeah, kinda hard on the eyes and it also might be hard to sell, excellent point Paul... Back to AW and coral for me...

I like the Alpine white with the coral interior. I don't care about resale until 10 years from now. At that time coral will be less important to the value so long as the car is in excellent condition. Go with the Blue and Coral if you like it. Tell your wife your she doesn't have to drive it if she dislikes the color!
