Bad injector?

Got the following codes today as well as a drivetrain malfunction.

Rough idle, sounds like a subaru, etc... It all goes away when you turn the car off and returns when getting much accelerator input. Plugs and coil packs were done less than 6000 miles ago, already has an aftermarket chargecooler so those other common culprits seem less likely.

e: have a log: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=642c...0b43923b7a4bc2

I have a couple longer ones as well.

Other than mine being cylinder 6, those in addition to a few others related to my O2 sensor failed, were what I got when my injector failed.

Take your plug out and look for wet plug. #5 is towards the firewall (back of engine). If there is a gas smell, you have a failed injector more than likely.

I say an O2 sensor because your Lambdas are far different. If it were an injector the STFTs would be far different, but they’re not.

It could also be a spark plug not tightened down well. I’ve seen them loosen and leak compression, which also causes misfires. Tighten to 25Nm…not 23.

And we have a winner!

It had popped the coil pack off as well. Luckily I have some spare plugs. Obviously gonna make sure they're all tight before I put it back together.

Is that anti seize on the threads or just glare from the lighting?

I had a BMW Master mechanic teach me to tighten plugs to 25Nm instead of 23 because he was seeing that the crush washers weren’t crushing (showing a ring all around, instead of the sandpaper texture that they have before install).

Glad you found it!!!

Is that a little arc burn up top from the loose coil pack?

I would have noticed the coil pack that was clearly not seated properly but I was definitely not thinking it was something this simple. I assume it's arc burn or maybe some remnants from the explosions escaping the explosion area?

Running better. Still has the timing thing that I've always had on the stage 1 tune. I had hoped it was more of an issue of the altitude and gas quality from living in Colorado but I'm no longer there. This tank is even 93. Maybe I'll get that figured out some day.
