I placed an order directly with Essex on 12/8 and my BBK was shipped from Essex on 12/22. I think it just takes some time to put the kit together. It's not something right off the shelf. I ordered the burnished rotors so that might have added some time too. Maybe higher order volume during the holidays too?

I waited about 4 weeks to get my Essex kit. 9668 always seems to be out of stock.

I placed an order on 12/10 (I think) for the 9660 kit. The response I got when I followed up was that the caliper bracket was out and they didn't currently have a specific ETA but that they would keep me posted. I am assuming at least a few more weeks but that is just my guess.

Hello Gents,

Sorry for the delays. We were completely overwhelmed with many hundreds of brake kit orders during our Black Friday promo period. We have been grinding through the build of each, and are running at about a 2-3 week delay as noted above. We have had some shipping delays from our suppliers on various components as well, which has been making things challenging. These kits have a long list of bits and pieces that all need to be in-hand for us to fully assemble and ship them. Our suppliers in Europe have been hit extremely hard by Covid, have had to close their facilities off and on by government mandate, etc. It's a mess unlike anything I've ever seen during my 20 years in the business, and they and their families have been having a rough time.

At any rate, we're working hard to get back to our typical same day to two day shipping window that we normally have for brake kits. We just hired two new warehouse/assembly staff (which is no easy feat in today's job market). We are also installing an additional brake kit assembly cell to increase our throughput. We have also purchased some new equipment and designed some new processes to enhance our assembly and quality control processes. We are even looking at additions to our building, etc.

In summary, we are all over it, and we are proud that we have been able to keep our disruptions so minor in comparison to our competitors. Some of them are having six month to one year delays, and others even went out of business. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are working towards continual improvement, and we really appreciate your patronage and patience during these difficult times. Thanks for sticking with us, and I promise it will be worth the wait.

I was told today that it was likely another 1.5-2 weeks for shipment on my order.
