OEM Rotor Replacements

Hey everyone,

I'm checking to see if anyone has ran either VNE or Zimmerman rotors on track without issues?

The time has come to replace my rotors and I wanted to take advantage of FCP's lifetime warranty, and I saw the other brands along with the genuine BMW rotors listed on their website.

I track an average of about 1-2 times a month.

Any input is welcomed!

Zimmerman is solid choice. It is one of few that still makes it in Germany. I would not worry a bit.

Girodisc are well regarded for track use, believe they will last much longer with track use than OEM.
No lifetime warranty like with FCP though... I'm guessing that's why FCP doesn't tend to sell track oriented consumables haha.

+1 for girodisc coupled with dust shield removal.

Do any of you guys have input on longevity of Girodiscs vs OEM?

I've definitely been aiming towards Giros but the FCP warranty keeps pulling me back lol

For reference I've had about 18 days on the OEM rotors with no cracking and hardly any lip before I ate through my pads a lot quicker than expected.

Hard to argue against FCP. I've been super happy w the replacement policy.

I run the OE VNE rotors on street/track. I have two sets. Haven't had issues with PFC11s. I'd rather spend less and change them more frequently through FCP.

I may make the move to girodiscs in the future as I don't plan to go BBK.

I want to make sure I understand this thread. So, FCP is a retailer not a manufacturer. FCP has a lifetime warranty on rotors. So if you warp your rotors or wear your rotors down, they send you a new set for FREE?
Having said that, FCP has very good rotors but maybe not THE BEST track oriented rotors. So if you buy from FCP, you are sacrificing a little bit of performance in exchange for a lifetime of free swaps?

Am I getting this right?

This is FCP's model, buy anything, then when used up, buy another one from FCP, send the old one back, then they refund your money for the 2nd purchase.
This applies to everything they sell:

And see this informative thread:
