OBD of Tank Vent Valve (Tech Action 0012470500)
The below came up on my car yesterday and I'm looking to see what it actually means. I've heard some people saying it will put a soft limiter on the car, some say reduce the pops and bangs but I'm sure there's many other things that we don't know of.

Quite a few threads on this already mate - this below and also on the UK M5 section.
I had it done (2018 build, 2019 registered car) and it does mellow the sound. https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1773857 |

The car in neutral already has a rev limiter from the very beginning. You can't rev past 5000 RPM ish. As for the recall-if I were you I would just ignore it for now (especially if you're in Europe). But if your car is a post summer 2019 build I guess you won't notice a difference as BMW already started neutering the sound of EU M5s back then. When was your car produced? If it's a earlier build, it's not worth the hassle to let them update your software and risk losing some of your exhaust sound and neutering the burble tune.
