FS: Brand New F15/F16 50i / F85/F86 Active Autowerke Catted Downpipes
Had a change of heart after an impulse purchase. Brand new in the box. Can't return to AA since it's a custom order. Best Catted Downpipes on the market. Guaranteed to not throw a CEL. Ultra high flow 300 cell per square inch catalyst. $1,950 shipped. https://store.activeautowerke.com/co...5-x6-550i-650i Last edited by classic_erik; 12-27-2020 at 01:30 PM.. |

Lol. Personally I've found that drinking and modding are a dangerous combo.

I was having a beer or two last night, and decided I had to walk away from the computer, and not look at this. So tempting....., if had I not ordered (late night decision...) new brakes just the other day. So why did you decide not to? I have read/heard that high heat makes the coils etc in the V, age faster, and downpipes or higher flow catted downpipes will lower the temp in the V, making it better for the engine? So except for I'm guessing worries about sound level, I'm thinking you should keep them, get them installed, and not tempt me to buy them. |

I changed my mind primarily because we are expecting our 2nd child in July and felt the sound would be too loud. Buyers remorse, but also felt my wife would rip my heart out of my chest.

Wish these two could be split to two 35i owners. BMW is not very creative in that department!
P.S. Congrats on 2nd one! Better prepare financially for one year of formula..... |

Sold in less than 24 hours! Never underestimate the power of Bimmerpost.
Happy to see them go to another 50i owner! I'll let him chime in at some point with dyno results which he promised!

Buyer here! Wasn't able to get a dyno done (COVID), but the increase in power and exhaust flow was felt immediately. Turbo lag is basically gone. Exhaust way more open. Going to add resonator-deleted front-pipes and mid-pipes along with a muffler to complete. DM me if you have any lines on any of that stuff for F15 50i M-sport.

P.S. - I still think this is an excellent deal to potentially sink your teeth in to. Powder coat the tips black and you are gold. We really never see 50i exhausts on the forum. https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1786215
