OEM BMW Roof Cargo Box Cartop Carrier by Thule 7 ft

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Up for sale is a used OEM BMW rooftop cargo box. Measures approximately 84” by 21” by 13”. BMW branded item, but I believe it was made by Thule.

Roof box is in excellent used condition. I would rate it a 8.5/10 cosmetically. Has one small crack in the top. A few minor scratches here and there.

Roof box has mounting hardware to affix box to OEM BMW roof racks.

Includes 1 key and instruction booklet.

Asking $OLD picked up in Fairfax, VA. Local pickup only.

Was just looking at a similar box on Craigslist out here. Do you happen to know if this can attach to Thule crossbars, without needing any adapters or modifications, since they're made by Thule? The seller here doesn't know.

It's difficult to say without looking at the Thule crossbars you have, but I don't think this box is directly compatible.

The BMW roof bars have channels that run down lengthwise. The attachments on the bottom of this box slide down those channels to hold the box on.

I've owned Thule bars/boxes in the past and those attach via a "U" bolt instead.

Thanks. I have these Thule Aeroblades: https://www.thule.com/en-us/roof-rac...v-_-jdNz6giVFa

They have a track/channel underneath the ribbed strip in the picture. Wonder if that's there to accommodate something like this BMW box.

Thule have a narrower track/channel in the crossbars, but you can buy the narrower mounting hardware from Thule, to make it work.
