M on rear window

Has anyone else seen this on their M car? I was curious if this was some sort of factory designation or if someone else wrote it on there. It looks like it was done with a paint marker.

Probably just yours. Maybe use some paint thinner to remove it.

Looks like glass may have been replaced in the past. And that glass was on the shelf, and someone marked a M with a marker to designate it for the M car in the shop. .

Thanks guys, I guess I will remove it. I thought it would've been neat if it were a factory mark, but no need to keep it there otherwise.
