First F10s - any N63 hangovers?

Hi team - I'm an E92 M3 owner researching F10 M5s in consideration of a change.

Have searched here and online for an answer to this Q, but am yet to find anything Definitive (capital "D").

In short:
Without exception, did the very first F10 M5 S63s include the improvements to the source and orignal N63 engine?

Slightly longer:
1. The N63 from which the S63 is derived didn't received its (significant & needed) tech update until 2013... so were the 2011, 2012 M5s "ahead of the game" or did those first S63s inherit the N63's issues?

2.That those early M5s received S63B44T0 engines strongly suggests that any N63 issues were NOT inherited, as does inclusion of Valvetronic in all F10 M5s, and the 331kw quoted output. Agreed?

Thanks folks. Sorry for the noobie Q..

.... and then I find this:

"The S63T0 used for the M5/M6 benefited from the same updates as the N63TU engine"
on this page: https://www.bimmerworld.com/About-Us...ne-Variations/

On face value, this means the S63B44T0 does not suffer from the original N63 issues.

Thoughts?

I had a 2011 550i with the non-TU n63 and I never had an issue with it. I've had the S63tu now for over a year and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Nothing with ever replace a naturally aspirated v8 BUT the acceleration on the f10 M5 is pretty intoxicating. No so much of a drag racer off the line but get this thing on the highway and that's where it shines.

I think the biggest fear with these engines are the dreaded rod bearings.

The short answer. No, the S63 found in all M5's do not suffer from N63 problems.

The most common issues will be injectors. Even though bearing failures are possible and documented, they're not a wide spread issue like the S65 or S54. The issue is the tight tolerances. Warm up the engine properly before beating on it and it will last a long time. Same goes with mods. A tune increases the potential stress/load on the bearings at any given rpm, which theoretically will shorten the lifespan, but it's all about how you drive. Like any M car really.

All original n63 motors are absolute rubbish
Had our rebuilt under customer care package in australia which is only available to celebrities and politicians! We had to be very firm to make it happen
Then 2 yr later kept having misfire issues so we traded it

Currently have and m5 f10 and x5m
The engines are pretty solid
