Is the trimming and use of the factory cover actually needed or something you customized? I thought it was a direct swap out like the turner plate

idk my mechanic have done so many, he said factory needs to be trimmed

If so then he is installing it over the existing black cover? The Turner unit completely replaces the original black cover. Take one out and put the new in....

That is why I was confused
