CAFD injection for LCI2 Headlight install, who does it?

Hi guys, did a test fit of my new LCI2 headlights, and of course plugging them in yielded nothing, as the coding is necessary. My laptop failed miserably when I tried downloading everything for coding, so I resorted to Bimmercode for everything else, but sounds like I'm stuck now, thus need the help of a coding genius.
Any help is appreciated!

You can't use Bimmercode for that. You need E-Sys to code the new headlights.

Hmm..

He knows that, he was merely pointing out that you're wasting your time with Bimmercode..

Either take it to someone who can code it or get the proper program up and running, so you or someone else can remotely code it.

Bimmercode is actually pretty great for a ton of things, even has my LCI taillights working flawlessly.
Ended up buying a refurb laptop with Windows 10 that should be arriving this week. Going to try getting it dialed in to code.
I diy darn near everything on my car, but this stuff sometimes seems a bit daunting.

I hear you, I had paid someone to install Esys on my laptop but I'm embarrassed to say that it's too complicated for me to figure out. It's just there, in case.. 🤷🏻

I prefer Bimmercode for coding, it's almost too easy for what you accomplish.

However, I still ISTA+ for diagnose, as even that is self-explanatory and pretty detail.

Some days I hate that I am not an engineer.

You guys don’t need to be an engineer to figure it out. Just some good instructions and “some” common sense. Not a lot, just some hahaha

I agree, its not rocket science, but you just have to decide if you have the time to get set up and watch the proper tutorials. I always have a queue of 100 things that I am behind on, so that factors in.

I am an engineer and finally got around to spending a several hours unsuccessfully trying to get a couple versions of Launcher to work on a Windows VM. I'm debating whether to install Windows on a spare hard drive and try again, or just pay someone to do the coding I want. I just don't want Launcher or E-Sys installed on my everyday laptop.

Hats off to BMW AG for making E-Sys something you have to really want in order to get it working.

I installed Windows 10 on an external USB SSD with my Mac (that was a PITA).
Then I installed E-Sys on that SSD with a keygen to bypass the TM fiasco.

If you have the steps to code the headlights and VO, all you need is E-sys & pszdata files.

I found it was easier to have someone code those for me.

If you had trouble, I'm screwed. I tried unsuccessfully to get up and running on an old PC laptop that was running Windows 7. Got a newer laptop running Windows 10, and will try again, but leaning towards remote coding help from Marius.

For remote lights coding you only need VPN to make remote connection, so no need to have cracked launchers/E-Sys.

Thanks
