Need location of the "Fuel Pressure Sensor" not "Low"

Can someone show me exactly where the fuel pressure sensor is located in our cars (One on right)? I have replaced the low pressure, the one on the left, it's right under the driver's side strut brace.

that one on the right looks like a high pressure sensor, for direct injection vehicles. As far as i know we don't have that type sensor since we have traditional fuel systems. Are you sure that's for an s65 M3 and not a 335i?

The one on the left is the original style sensor. The one on the right supersedes it, but requires an adapter and o-ring. This is the only sensor on the S65, the one behind the airbox on the fuel line. There is no second fuel pressure sensor.

Same sensor. The silver one is simply the newer style. They are both low pressure and normally see between 2 and 6.5 bar. High pressure sensors see upwards of 200bar but are only on factory boosted applications.

^^^ 100% correct.

I installed the new style directly into the fuel rail with the O-Ring and is seems to work just fine without needing the adapter. I have the little spacer but I could not see any reason for it to be installed. Semms to me it would just elevate the fuel sensor higher.

Anyone know why the little spacer needs to be there? Am I going to run into an issue by not installing it?

Cheers,

Don't know if it is an issue at all, but my only concern would be that without the adapter the newer one would protrude further into the line possibly causing a slight flow restriction under WOT. Theoretically that could cause a lean condition at high rpm's.
