Transfer Ultimate Care + Ultimate Care Scheduled?

Anyone have any experience doing the bare bones transfer for BMW Ultimate Care as well as extending/purchasing Ultimate Care Scheduled for the additional two years?

Have searched the forums and see most people are able to pay the fee to do the bare bones transfer for the 3yr/36k basic maintenance, but haven't seen much discussion on extending it to 5yr/75k for Ultimate Care Scheduled. Am not sure if the extension requires one to have purchased Ultimate Care+ first.
