Differing puddle lights?
So I searched and couldn’t find the answer? I just picked up a 2017 M3 CP, etc., and the puddle lights on the driver’s door is the Roundel logo. However, on the passenger (front) door it’s the ///M logo? Is that right? Picked up car yesterday morning so was not obvious, or perhaps not paying attention?
Car is still under warranty can I get that changed out to whichever it should be, if that‘s not the norm? |

Lights come with 4 different options. The previous owner just decided to go with a mismatching set.

Also should the MPE with the CF tips stick out as much? They seem to be like ~2” too far out? See pic.. |

Is that a special option to get those puddle lights? I’ve got a 2017 ZCP with the ultimate package (CDN package that has all options except CCB and carbon ceramic front lip).
I just have plain light under the door sills. |

Can find a very cheap knockoff on Amazon, where I bought mine.

There's an Allen screw on the underside of the Carbon Fiber Tips. It's visible in the middle picture above. You can loosen it and set your tips to protrude as little or as much as you want, within the range available. You definitely want them to protrude past the edge of the bumper at least a little bit, otherwise you risk melting the plastic bumper cover and/or blistering/discoloring the paint.

Hell yeah, got an OEM set cheap used for fun. Definitely cheese, but I was bored.
You can adjust these to how you like. I have them slightly staggered to clear the bumper and CF diffuser. BTW I'd hit the inside tip of the exhaust with some griots engine cleaner and a good wheel brush to get rid of some of that carbon buildup, it gets harder the longer you let it sit. P21S polishing soap can help if it's really stuck. I find it easier to remove the tip if it's really hard to clean. Then just maintenance with engine cleaner every time you wash the car.
