135 Rear View Mirror

Just bumped and knocked the rear view mirror off the windshield on my 2010 135 convertible. Is it just glued on the windshield like most cars? Or is there a “bmw” trick to remounting it?

There is a ball joint on the back of the mirror that fits into a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket mounts to a puck/ nut looking thing on the windshield and you can uncover it by removing the trim pieces around it. For installing/removing just turn it and pull or push.
