Alcantra M-Performance Steering Wheel (non-race display)

I have been considering swapping to the the M-Performance Steering Wheel w/ alcantra (not the race display version). How many of you have made this update and what's your experience / satisfaction with it? Did you upgrade paddle shifters while you were at it? In addition to the M-Performance Steering Wheel, I was also thinking about going with Pedal Haus aluminum shift paddles to match the pedals I am installing. Thanks.

We're thinking along the same lines. I actually already have the Pedal Haus pedals installed and they are fantastic. Last week ordered the matching shift paddles and heel plate. Should be here for install next week.

I've found Coby Wheels (https://cobywheel.com/f10-lci-sport-steering-wheel.html) from some of our local BMWCCA members who say he does a great job re-wrapping your wheel. You send the core and will also maintain the heating function if your car has it. He's also local to Georgia. Only concern is you have to take care and make sure hands are clean apparently because alacantara can wear unevenly, but from experience it's pretty resilient.

Great recommendation. I didn't realize I had this local option right here. One of the things that was holding me back was the desire for either no stripe or a red stripe at top of the wheel instead of blue stripe, so this custom re-wrap is better for me. I also do not need the CF M Performance trim. I had leather and alcantra on my AMG ML63 as a daily driver and I did find the alcantra would get matted down. However, a no-lint towel with a little warm water and soap brought it back to new in minutes.

Kind of off topic but thought I’d chime in for a sec. I’ve got the Pedal Haus pedals in black anodized. The black on the dead pedal has worn off in the center where there are no nubs. Not sure if you guys are getting or have the black ones but thought I’d let you know my experience. Other than that the pedals are great.

I've noticed that on my brake pedal. I guess not completely unexpected given constant wear and friction in that area. I don't use dead pedals as much but I expect same would happen if under constant contact.

I ordered the clear aluminum to go with my interior plan. Looking forward to receiving them at some point here. Post up some pics of yours though while I am waiting.

Post up a pic. I ordered clear aluminum but would like to see some pics to appreciate the look I hope to have soon.

Did both - happy with my Pedal Haus black pedals. I swapped to the Performance steering wheel but only had it on for a few months. It felt alot thinner than a normal steering wheel and I prefer something a little chunkier.... didn't install the paddle shifters but probably should have... .

Looks fantastic. I like the contour on the steering wheel you picked. For the wheel, I'm leaning toward 1/2 perforated leather and 1/2 alcantra.
