How to: Properly change your rear badge

I hope that you guys find some value in this guide. It shows you how to change a badge out properly so that you keep the right alignment:

Nothing worse than seeing a crooked or out of place badge

Interesting observation. I spent six weeks in Germany last year and drove around a lot. Mostly southern Germany near Stuttgart and Munich. The Germans love their cars and know how to drive. For instance you will never see someone poking around in the left lane, they get around and get over. That said I saw a lot of beautiful cars, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and almost all of them were debadged. I asked my host and he had to think about it and said you have a choice at the dealer to have a badge of no, and they don't really care to show off. Interesting cultural difference with America IMHO.

That's what I did when I changed mine to black, just put some masking tape underneath to get the height and on the right to get the edge, easy peasy

20d owners trying to stay under the radar because of their low-tier engine, 30i/d & up owners trying not to draw too much attention to their high-hp car.

X6 M50 guys wear their badges very proudly though, always gotta flex their lil pp on other X6 drivers.

My uncles (from the UK) say they de badge the higher spec vehicles to reduce the risk of theft. With that said, so many high spec cars now have so many damn badges it might not be possible to do so...
