Best code scanner for me?

My 2013 X5 50i has some issues(reduced power and missing on at least one cyl) and i'm looking to fix it myself. What would be the best scanner with the ability to code battery/etc if it were needed for the DIY guy? I need something simple to use. Also have restraint system warning so it would need to be able to point me in the right direction for that.

I like Bimmergeeks Protool. It will have no problems doing all that. Buy the coding license and you can code your car as well

I am happy with my Carly, but I have not tried anything else to judge against.

Protools is great as mentioned above and so is the foxwell nt510 or higher with the BMW software. Both these so have their limitations however. I recently needed to recalibrate my transfer case after a fluid change to fix it's CF80 code. Neither the foxwell or protools could do this (foxwell could only reset, not calibrate). So ultimately I had to load ISTA on a laptop with the Dcan cable as it was the only way to do this.

So, would this be the correct DCAN cable to work with it?https://www.amazon.com/AuraTech-Edia...7768546&sr=8-3

Yep that should work just fine (the exact one is use is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017I...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which took a bit of driver loading to get to work on my older win7 laptop but has been rock solid) the software is free, download at: https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads
About 30gig worth of stuff but Reingold ISTA is the main one you need. Read through the install guide txt file included to install (bit of a pain) and watch videos on YouTube on how to use, it's not very intuitive but this is the exact software the dealer uses. So you can do anything and everything with it.

I have the Autel ht200. Got it at wal mart for $35 but amazon has it too. You get one free 'advanced diagnostic' subscription with it. You can also view real time data and set up little dashboards in it. I haven't found a way to code with it though, so if that's a desire then maybe look to other tools suggested. But other than that it's awesome. Pro tip though, disconnect your phone from the car's bluetooth...the app is slow to communicate if it's fighting for bluetooth bandwidth
