Thoughts on colored roundels?

... black, red, carbon fiber, is it just me, or is this not the most degrading thing you can do to a bimmer, other than looking cheap and tacky, I don't get why anyone would want to change the bmw colors. Someone please explain the appeal to me

The same way people add any number of parts to the car. Different strokes for different folks.

I agree, not a fan of colored roundels personally, but others love em

Personally I don't have a single blue colored part on or in my car. The blue on the badges looks ugly AF and it ruins the flow

Colored roundels very tacky imo. Reminds me of my early driving days buying things like that from pep boys I thought was cool at the time.

When I was a young gun I thought it was cool. Quickly realized I didn't like it. Every time I see it, I realize wow that's not for me. Now even the carbon or black which is neutral. The original roundel looks so good. Hell, I even like amber reflectors some times so I'm just probably getting old bahahahha.

In my case it was stuff from the JC Whitney catalog. Some of that stuff was useful though. I installed a four-way/emergency flasher in my '65 bug way before those were standard equipment on all cars.

I personally have never done colored roundels. I do have tri-color ///M stripes on the front grilles of all three of my ///M cars though, which some have called "juvenile" and "lacking taste". To which I say, It's my fucking car, I'll do whatever the fuck I want to it!

If the new transparent roundels on the i4 become a thing and it looks cool on our car, I might consider them, I'm sure ind will have oem versions available.

I'm ok with the "to each his own" thing when it comes to oversized wings, chrome wheels, ugly stickers and paint jobs, pimped out interiors ... I don't understand how people can actually pay money to do these mods, but I get it- its your car and you can do whatever da fuck you want, I puke in my mouth and move on. But people with colored roundels should be arrested, beaten, banned from owning a bwm for life, and locked away. J/k.. but seriously

I like the ones that replace the blue with black- I had those on my E60 545i and they were very subtle and worked well with the black sapphire exterior. The all black ones look terrible though.
