MPE Exhaust rattle at cold startup
Does anyone else with the MPE have a loud metal rattle on cold start? I'm guessing this could be related to cracking or bad mounting. If anyone has had this... any remedies?

Indeed, a rattling MPE on cold start is a telltale sign of a cracked MPE

We've seen issues with the tips themselves on a few occasions (carbon version). you'll have to get underneath and see what's going on during cold start.

My MPE used to rattle at coldstart. It was the Exhaust Tips rattling. I have since fixed the rattle.

I have the carbon tipped version, I guess I'll get my ass under it tomorrow morning and suffer a little brain damage to check for cracks. Without checking I'm going to guess its the pipe welds to the muffler.

Was there a trick or you had it fixed under warranty? When I looked it was shaking pretty hard I was thinking maybe another hanger or dampener to reduce the vibrato.

I had no cracks, looks like a small repair. Seems my end pieces are shaking so I'm going to secure and dampen it as best i can with another hanger and rubber.

No cracks on my V1 I guess. My car is 2016 optioned from factory.
It makes that vibrating noise for a brief few seconds at cold start. Tips vibrate for a few seconds at cold start. After that nothing. Im going to try the new set screws mentioned in another thread. Hopefully I the stock screws don't strip when I remove them. Anyone know what size the set screws are? Do you need to drop the muffler to remove the tips? Any help much appreciated!

I am having the same issue. For reference, I have the v1 that cracked, then welded with the noise starting not long after the welding. I have had the car checked a couple of times and no one has been able to figure it out. Subscribed.
