I have never liked the stripes on the engine cover so I sanded them down and painted it in VHT wrinkle plus. Looks a lot nicer in person!

Funny you posted this. I was just about to paint mine in wrinkle paint and then the leftover spray color that matches my car on top of that and I don't like the stripes either, was going to just paint over them. Never thought of sanding them off. Thanks

Not to sure how painting over wrinkle paint will go. The wrinkles on mine are very fine and tight. If you paint over it in another paint you will most likely lose the texture. I went wrinkle paint as it's really durable and is like a hard plastic so harder to scratch etc when working on the car. If you want to paint it in your left over paint just use that no point using wrinkle paint too.

Looks nice without the stripes. Wrinkle hides the contour change too.
