New BM3 Map Updates Available

As per the title really.... BM3 have new ones with more features. They don't update often so it's usually well worthwhile when they do.
Just for information....

I'm going to do mine at the weekend think I'm a few behind now!

Have you downloaded and noticed any differences?

Just flashed it this morning. Done about 40 miles today. Doesn't feel any different to me tbh. But I didn't really expect it to.
It does seem to idle better though, unless it's just my imagination.
Just remember you'll have to reprogram your M buttons if you had them different to default settings.
There's a bit more customisation available in this update. I've not experimented yet, think I'll probs wait until better weather/road conditions... Lol, so 6 months time!

Tbh I've not had chance to play properly. It was wet here & 3 degrees. Coupled with my cup2's (with only 2.5mm tread left on the back), let's just say it wasn't ideal!

I'd try reflashing the gearbox then Steve while you're at it. You shouldn't be getting kangarooing at all. If it persists with GTS perhaps give the CS transmission a try?

Yeah I'll give it a go maybe it didn't actually flash it last time correctly.

Ok, I went to my mates yesterday, back this morning. Lot's of "A" roads & some motorway, mostly sunny & dry.
You're right, the boost does come on in a more sedate manner. Extremely driveable!
It was good before, but this update seems to have gone to another level. It's soooo smooth, but still delivers savage acceleration. Well done to the guys at proTUNING Freaks I say!

I've updated today to version 9 of the stage 2 map - seems to have resolved my kangaroo 2/3 gear issue.

Does seem a bit more linear in power delivery though although roads here are terrible today so difficult to tell.

What a great bit of software!!

Do you get a really big surge at about 4700rpm - I've just raised it with PTF - doesn't seem right to me t5pilot

Not noticed Steve tbh, but I've been away for a long weekend, not in the car. I'll do a specific check of it tomorrow & report back...

He asked for my VIN and has provided a new version of the map for me to try - not entirely sure what is different about it or what the VIN check was meant to provide.

Ok, sorry for the late response, I've only just got in.
I've done several pulls through the day, 1st, 2nd 3rd & 4th, 4k rpm through to about 5.5k rpm. Couldn't do 5th & over, unsuitable roads/conditions.
I'm not experiencing the same issue. My power delivery is smooth within this window. So as 'normal' as you'd expect it to be imo.
Lol, bloody fast though!
Strange it's not the same.
The only thing of note would be that my initial flash (to the newly updated stage 2) didn't take properly first time. It loaded & initially flashed, getting to 100% but then said something to the effect that original coding data couldn't be applied, so it had to do a complete recode & reflash from the server.
It then said it was successful.

Im guessing the vin details would be so they could confirm your original coding data, which is vin specific... Used for other settings & stock, base map.

I had the same issue and it had to apply the update again - I'll try mine on Saturday and see what it does.

I also had that happen.

1st time I flashed it with the laptop and it didn't have a problem.

The 2nd time I flashed it with my phone and the wi-fi agent, and it did a full flash and ecu unlock again and then needed to do the online recode.

Worked fine though.

Applied version 9.1 and it's fixed the surge at 5k revs ( and no kangaroo in 2nd gear now )

Fab!
