Dinan carbon fiber mirrors?

I've seen a few post on here about the Dinan carbon mirrors, it was mostly just people asking about them I wanted to revisit this. Is there anybody that has anything positive to say or stay away from them?

I haven't had them myself, but I have heard several times to stay away from Dinan

Also, as can be seen in your screenshot, Dinan carbon fiber mirror caps apparently cause cancer

Reason why most people complain about Dinan is the customer support. Its almost never the quality. I do not think you will need much customer support to install mirror caps.

I believe Dinan's are CF weave laid over a ABS/plastic mirror cap, whereas the OEM CF caps and RW's are fully-molded CF caps, and are better fitting.

My dealer in KC stopped using Dinan, for the tunes and warranty there products. Said they just have had too many problems.

At a birthday party/F1 watch party on Sunday for the shop foreman at our servicing dealer, I just found out that they have dropped Dinan as well.

For those that aren't aware, Steve Dinan left Dinan in 2013. I spoke to Steve and his wife at a dinner shortly after he left, and they definitely didn't have anything nice to say about his old company.

Here's an interview that Hagerty did with Steve Dinan just this past August : https://www.hagerty.com/articles-vid...tuning-maestro.

Don't even bother. I bought them and regret it 100%. They fit poorly and do not snap into play. Like others said, they are ABS Plastic with carbon overlayed on the surface. Either by OEM, IND, or RW Carbon versions. Save yourself the headache and buyers remorse.

At the risk of being provocative - have a think about hydrodipping your stock Mirrors.

The finish is 100% clean carbon fibre look when done properly and much cheaper than oem.

It's an option.

I did it for my front grill and side skirts
