I have confirmed my order for a 2009 E90 M3. Woohoo.

My allocation is for Week 39, currently spec'ed as Space Gray (dealer is checking with NA whether it's available or not), Fox Red, Al trim, 18", single hump and a few other options.

Yeah. 6MT. I test drove the DCT and overall liked it. However, I just think I would miss the pleasure and control that a MT provides after the novelty of the DCT wears off. Plus, I don't want to order the first generation of the M-DCT...

i don't think that BMWNA knows either...but i think you'll be good, because Regensburg is making the call on this one!

I want Space Gray, too. What did your salesperson do to order it? Isn't it NOT currently an option on the order screen? How can he enter it then?

Also, what do you mean by "not sure what I'll get"?

My CA is not able to select it yet. But I just called BMW NA today and was told by 2 different reps that it is available in the system as of today. Hopefully it'll show up on the dealership end tomorrow or the day after. My CA just informed me that my week production has been moved to week 36!!

I meant "I am not sure what I will select otherwise".

Thanks for the clarification. I hope for both our sakes that it shows up. I have a week 36 production sedan ordered too (status "scheduled for production," or 112), on the BMWNA telephone number. Currently have it as Jerez and black leather, but that may just be too dark for my preferences. All of the other colors just don't float my boat.

Are you getting the premium sound? Can't decide if it is worth $2000.

No. The only sound option I am getting is the iPod/USB adaptor. I have the regular sound system in my E46 and I am very happy with it. Unless you are an audiophile and very picky about music, $2000 for premium sound seems unwarranted to me.

BTW, I requested that my production week be pushed out a bit so I can wait for more details to come out. I am Week 39 now.

I am a sound freak. But then again, I haven't heard the 'non-enhanced' stereo system. I always use to complain about Harmon Kardon. I didn't care for that system. I like the Bose system in the Audis'.

No. I debated it a bit but I would rather put that money into track wheels/tires and future mods.

I work 3 miles from home and really rarely need Nav/Traffic info.
