Video: An E90 runs Circuit Mont Tremblant, Quebec; 10 Aug 08

Here's a short video of a Jerez Black E90 sedan running the front stretch at Circuit Mont Tremblant, Quebec. He's the forth one in line.

I talked to the guy briefly but don't remember his name. He said the brakes worked flawlessly and the car ran strong. This was his second driver's school, and first one in this car. He complained about front tire wear, but he showed me the wear and the only evidence of running the track was some scrubbing on the second rib area from the outside of the tire, not on the outside part of the tire as I expected to see. I don't consider the tire wear significant at all especially since street tires (no matter how good) aren't made to be run on the track every weekend. It was only on the front tires and especially on the left front, Mont Tremblant is primarily a right had turn track. The tires weren't ruined or unusable for the street, just some slight scrubbing on a small section of the tire. I don't know how hard he was pushing the car.

I was there as a spectator only and didn't have my car with me. However, I did ride with two instructors on Sunday. I recorded two laps of each of those sessions. I was using the movie mode of a hand held point and shoot digital camera, so you may need to take your favorite motion sickness medicine if you watch the second and third videos.

Perfecto. Man, I noticed that E30 M3 passed you guys on the left, and kept on pulling away. I wonder what that person did to his car. Otherwise, thanks for sharing.

The bottom video was shot from a E30 325. The engine is nearly stock except the interior and a lot of other stuff is stripped out of the car so it only weighs like 2500lbs. So he doesn't have the hp for the straighaways and that's why he gets passed so much. I think the stock hp is like 160ish.

oh, thanks for notifying me. I thought the person was driving an E46 325.
It was early morning when I watched the video, and i was really tired cause i worked the night before.
