BM3 issue 4th gear high rpm
currently BM3 stage 2 6mt F80 (AA downpipe and midpipe). Not sure how to word it as I do not know if what the car does has a specific name. When I am in the highway in 3rd gear and I shift gear almost from redline into 4th gear, when I gun the gas pedal after releasing the clutch, the car boggles(not sure if that is the word). Basically what happens is the rpm acts like if I am hitting the rev limiter when I am only at 4k rpm. Is a noise like prrrprprrrrr and I have to release the gas pedal in order for the car to engage and start reving again. Any idea what can it be? I reflashed the car this morning but I have not had a chance to hit the highway and see if the error is now gone. BTW, no error or check engine light. Car is perfect in all other lower gears even when shifting close to redline. Any feedback appreciated.

How many miles are on your spark plugs? If you have more than 20k on oem plugs I would consider changing them (I think 30k is the oem interval). However, if your modded I’d change them more frequently.

Wow! My car does it every now and then lately in the same situation but with auto. I can’t catch it, but somthin also flashes on the dash. I’ve since changed to stage 1. I also have downpipes and AA midpipe. I don’t believe it’s sparkplugs and more along the lines of detonation, thus switching back to stage 1. I will be getting a custom tune soon.
