Differences between Efficient, Sport and Sport+ mode

Hi guys,

I would like the technical differences between the diferents modes of engine. I hear from bmw that the only difference is the gas pedal...

Anyone knows this information?

Thanks!!!

HP & TQ stay the same in all three modes, boost and throttle response do increase as you go up I believe, thought not sure on the boost as that could be more a function of engine compensation for external air & tempt conditions. Car is definitely quicker in sport+ but can be less stable with traction depending on dct setting. Sport+ uses more cooling hardware, also has an effect on the turbo wastegate operation and keeps spinning thus less turbo lag. Oh yeah, and gas mileage goes to shit!

I'd like to know the technical difference between all three modes. I've read the sticky post and know the general difference between all three but is there technical data or specs on the differences in all three modes? Like what settings are changed and by how much? Sport and Sport+ are explained exactly the same way with the addition of Sport+ being a little sharper.

I'd also love to see an official source on the differences. For the F8x I've seen a semi-official source (interview with a BMW engineer) that mentioned Sport and Sport+ doing different things with the wastegate to promote faster spool vs Efficient mode but I'd love to see everything that's different. And especially do Sport and Sport+ have different settings from each other or does that "+" simply mean "and traction control is turned off too" like it does on some other models?

I notice my oil temps are much lower in Sport+ than Sport. As per my M Perf Steering wheel.

190F vs 205-210F

Same temperature that day.
