PCV location on S55 engine? Valve cover leak!

Hi there,

Has anyone for a photo of the location of the PCV valve or can explain the location?

I have a what seems to be a valve cover leak I need to sort, want to check the valve if I can first, I can follow the hoses I guess but researching probable causes before I get started. Probably tackle it this weekend.

Cheers,

OK, found a diagram of the valve cover... same spot as the N55 and real OEM does not list a replacement part so it may be the same "fix" if I do have a bad one... bugger.

My oil leak appears to be the RH rear of the cover or in that vicinity at least... straight onto the exhaust and in my cabin vent!

I've got the same thing going on. Haven't addressed it yet on my own or with the dealer.

Dropped it in to the dealer today to have a look, they think valve cover gasket, 6.7hrs to replace according to the BMW system.

should be covered under warranty even though you are slightly out of warranty.

That's great!

did you bring the M4 back to the dealer where you originally purchased the M4 from?
