120mph 1/4 with stock turbos on pump gas. Anyone?

I have seen lots of impressive stock turbo + pump gas dyno charts but I am curious how these translate to 1/4 mile performance. Surely close to 500whp in an F8X should translate into 120mph or better trap speed. Does it?

Lots of results in the 1/4 mile sticky.

Personally , I've run 116mph stock and 119.X with the CS+ map. I'm sure I'd be well over 120mph with an actual stage 1 map. I'll try it one of these days!

Edit: to answer your question, yes lots of people trapping 122-126 tune only or tune +bolt ons only

Impressive but not acheived on straight pump gas (94oct or lower) which is all I am focused on.

93 octane OTS tune will put you at around 124 mph 1/4 mile trap speed. Also, E85 is considered pump fuel in California.

I trapped 126 on stock turbos, OTS st2, 93oct. DA was insane though, like -1000, and mid 40's temp. First time out, but yes, very doable.

It just looks that way because your rear tires will free spin when launching into the air when hitting the uneven road surface of I5 giving you an indicated groundspeed of 185 when you're aruond 170

a near 500rwhp on a 3,650lbs car should be able to trap closer to 129-130mph. I'm only saying this in comparison to my S5, which weighs 4,000lbs (on a good day), barely kisses 490awhp, and will trap up to 128mph depending on the day.

or maybe I'm incorrect? Still learning this platform as I go. So excited to pick on up in the next month or so and be back in the M family again.

^ 1/4 mile trap speed will read high if you're not hooking from a dig (poor 60'). For example, you'll see some cars trap 126 mph with an 11.1 to 11.2 ET, and 1.9 to 2.0 60'

Once that 60' gets dialed down to 1.6 to 1.7, then you'd be looking at a slightly lower trap speed, but with a much faster ET.

Average Tune nowadays is 125 with streets.
Pretty amazing value.

I'd highly recommend just upgrading to PS2 for the long-term headroom and reliability if you're actually trying to go fast. Not sure why so many people push the stock turbos so hard...
