Monticello Motor Club Track
A couple weeks ago I went to a event held at the Monticello Motor Club, in upstate NY (90 minutes from Manhattan). The event was held in order to showcase their facility and most importantly TRACK for possible members. Membership is $125k (up from $100k and will rise) with $7500 yearly maintenance charge and membership is limited to 500 members. Membership includes unlimited track time and access to the track at your own convenience and instructors. The club has a concierge service, mechanic, helipad, skid pad and spa (I know I'm missing something).
The track itself is amazing we had two follow the leader sessions in the morning and to cap off our day we were able to get a ride from one of the instructors, I got a ride in the owner Bill Michael's 360 Ferrari Challenge Stradale (video below) The consist of 22 turns and is 4.2 miles long with a back straight of 3/4 of mile in which I got up to 135-140 before backing off b/c of the car infront and there are no braking markers laid out yet. My favorite part of the track was the Right Left Right Carousel coming off the back straight, you could really see how great the M3 is at the track when flipping it into each corner and it going exactly were you wanted it to go and having lots of fun with MDM on and kicking out the rear just a tad. quick story: First session we go out I'm behind a Murcielago we are getting to learn the track a little, on the 3rd lap I coming up to the 90 turn right before the long straight I down shift into 2nd to be in the proper gear and I guess the Murc is just hanging back a little in the curve waiting to punch it and unleash the power and rather then me braking so I don't rear end him I pass him on the inside as we exit the corner and I as I pass I could see his face in the side view mirror LIKE keep in mind I'm already gunning it in the proper gear (3rd) red line chirp into 4th red line chirp into 5th hit the kink on the long straight and see he is like 4-5 car lengths behind ease off b/c of no brake markers going to the carousel. I know there is no way I could be a Murc straight up but it was fun nonetheless to see his face and get the jump on him I guess I should mention the drive up which consisted of 2 Gallardos, a Murcielago, 360 Spyder, GT3, Carrera S, 300c SRT and my M3. Top speed I saw was 13.5 but was constintely @ 12.0 the owner of the Murc said he hit 16.1 at one point. This was all on open stretches where there were no cars in front or near us except ourselves. Lots of fun!!! If you have any question just ask b/c I know I'm missing a ton of stuff to report since it was a couple weeks ago-again apologies for waiting so long to post this. www.http://www.monticellomotorclub.com/ Here is a picture of the track map Slideshows-click on it! Video of hot lap with Bill McMichael in his 360 Ferrari Challenge Stradale-ENJOY! disclaimer: I have no affiliation to MMC admin: I know its not posted in the proper section, but I posted here so all can enjoy...

Holy moly, that is awesome. If I have the means in the future you can be sure that I will have a membership like that and will leave the private golf club memberships to others.
Thanks for the write up.

If this place was located closer to Bucks COunty PA, I would totally be a member. That is just sooo far to go just for a day.

The local motorsports country club here is $7,500 and I got in when it first opened for $5,000. It's not as pretty as that one since it's in the middle of the desert.

Monsta, did they have the final surfacing completed? It looked like only the subsurface paving was completed?
