Down Pipes with MPE

Can't remember if this has been discussed as cannot find a thread. Am thinking going Akra pipes with the MPE and leaving the secondary cats in, any negatives with this as I don't want to end up with a raspy exhaust. The CS is already a deep tone so am thinking it will remain the same only a bit louder, which I am after. Thanks.

As long as resonators remain in place, it won't be raspy. Just louder.

Would be a good idea to get a EVC to allow manual control of the exhaust valve. .

I have MPE on my CS and it's loud but I want louder as well. What's the best way to do this without cutting the MPE? Thanks!

Catless downpipes are your only option without cutting.

Will it be raspy? What downpipe do you recommend?

It can be, since resonators are eliminated.

We recommend ER downpipes, always in stock.

Fabspeed midpipe doesn't require cutting MPE and will make it louder by around 20% or so. Add downpipes and it will be even louder.

Don't you guys have regular emissions testing ? Does that mean you have to swap back intermittently ?

I have MPE with stock midpipes and AA flex downpipes. It can get a bit raspy at higher rpms especially when cold and is pretty loud (a little too loud for my taste).
