How do I remove the cover from the fuse box in the engine bay?
Is there a trick to removing the fuse box cover underhood (passenger side cowl area by the red “+” terminal)?
I got the cover loose but could not get it out under the bracing without literally breaking something, and I needed to get to a couple fuses in there. Tried everything. Are you supposed to remove the M car bracing? The only way I eventually got it out was by ham-fisting it, getting pissed, and mangling it a bit. I bent it so hard it got all scuffed up and the corner of the fuse box cover broke off. I know there's another way... |

Every time you remove the strut brace you're supposed to replace the bolts to get correct torque. I can get my cover off without it, but it's scratched pretty badly from doing it.
