Swift Spec R or H&R?
Finally lowering my e82. Can anybody chime in on which of the two is best? Looks like Swift lowers the front and rear accordingly but H&R leaves the rear a little high.
Thoughts? |

The spec r is a good spring with a high rate. The drop is nice too, even and slightly lower than eibach. I liked them with on my old 135i with bilstein b6 but be warned they are firm and do not pair well with stock dampers:

Sometimes less lowering is better from performance and ride quality point of view, mainly because the stock E82 doesn't have much suspension travel to begin with. Also consider that some springs are known to sag over time.
If you want to go lower, some decent quality coilovers such as KW V1 (or V2) is a good option. At least then you have the ability to choose the height precisely as you like. |

Yeah that was next on the list, but my good friend sold his BBS LM’s to me and I couldn’t pass it up. I decided to just get the ride height dialed in with some springs since I have the sport suspension. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a KW V2 set up. Thanks for chiming I’m! |
