End of Lease and Mods

This has probably been asked a bunch, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 2017 M4 Competition with JB4 and downpipes, with a lease ending in November. I want to buy the car, and leave the mods in place. My understanding is BMW will not certify the car with the mods, but can't I just pay the "certified" price and buy it non-certified without removing the mods? I will also be coming in with about 10,000 less miles than my limit. Any advice is welcome. Thanks guys.

I don't get what you're asking. If you're buying it out right, they won't care what's on it. Why would you want to buy it at the "certified" price if they can't and won't due to the mods anyway? That makes no sense.

He wants to buy it and have BMW "certify" it so he gets the extended warranty but wants to know if they'll want to do a full inspection in order to certify it.

My response: Why don't you just ask the dealer what their process is?

Doubt they'll CPO with the mods, in fact I'd wager they'd void your warranty instead.

Definitely not with mods. Just take them off, certify it, and put them back.
