Average Install Price for MP Exhaust

Looking at getting an MPE in the near future. I wanted to know for those that paid to have the exhaust installed, what are you roughly paying for install? What is a fair price?

I wanted to use the dealer to keep it all BMW (if that means anything) but I got quoted $1500 to install a MP rear trunk spoiler and that quickly changed my mind. You would think they would give you a break considering you got the car from them but I guess I should know better. Plus, it's Miami.

I would love to tackle a self install but unfortunately I own a condo and car repair/maintenance is not allowed by the Association. Plus, I'm a board member so that would not look good.

Thanks in advance for the info!

The exhaust is not overly difficult to install.. I can't see it being more then a couple hours.

The exhaust literally takes 30mins. Take it to a local car shop. I paid $100 to get mines installed.

I doubt that’s average, definitely on the low low end

Both. Shops typically quote based on designated time, not how long it actually takes them. You should definitely ask, and see if they'll charge you that. I believe the average is around $150-$200 but if you can talk them to $100 that's definitely better. Just make sure they cut your stock exhaust in the correct spot.

Also, I'm selling a MPE with Carbon tips. Lmk if interested

Lol I already have the MPE installed on my car. That's what I'm saying I paid $100 and it took 30 mins. BMW wanted $600 and a guy just posted above he got his installed by the dealer for $135 so I'm saying people are trying to charge a lot for a simple job.

BMW states it's an hour and a half book time. Search this forum for MPE install and you will find the official BMW PDF.

I guess it's just subpar pricing at it's finest

Average install is about $150 in this area as well

Garage List
I didn't pay anything to have mine installed. I did it myself in my garage, along with help from a friend. Of course, I had already paid for the RaceRamps and the proper tools, but those are an investment and have been used many times before and after.

I paid myself to do it

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1226950

I would say 2 hrs if using ramps and no more than 45 mins - 1 hr if using a lift.

Here it is from BMW, so any dealer trying to charge your more than this just doesn't know or is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Just show them this and you should be golden.
