Tune to kill pops & bangs?

I've had my M3 comp for a month or two, love it - except the pops and bangs in anything other than efficient mode. I really don't like the noise and it's only grown more grating.

So; any fixes other selling? A tune? New exhaust?

Tune can fix it.

BootMod3 has the option to turn burbles off in any mode.

Cool, thanks will take a look. Any idea if it totally stops it?

Yes, you can turn them off, make them stock, and then sliders for how loud and how long they last.

Not to mention that the tune turns the car into a beast. Freakin love it.

Awesome. Any idea if MHD supports it? (Used that on a previous car)

MHD has options for burble removal... but BM3 is widely regarded as one of if not the best tuning solution for S55. Takes about five minutes to flash including DME unlock.

I'm the total opposite. I like to turn my burbles all the way up! I like it when pedestrians run and hide from my machine gun sounding exhaust.

Lol, ya I guess that's default. I love the car but damn that noise. I'm spoilt by a c63 noise wise.

Yes, but it's up to you. BM3 gives you sliders if you want to reduce or adjust the amount, duration, and intensity of the burbles or you can just set them to "off" and they're really off.

I generally run my BM3 with burbles either fully off or at most set to a duration of 0.5 seconds.

I completely removed the burbles using bootmod OTS maps, as well as the custom tune I got. Then I kept going and removed the M3 badge as well.

No kidding? So can you set it up to where there's maybe one bang when you let off the gas (fairly loud) with next to no burbling? That's what I'd like, the machine gun fire sound is so ridiculous. (to me anyway hah).

Does BM3 also have the flame tune? Thanks.

I also dislike the burble sound VERY much. I love the exhaust note but the burble sound is just horrible
How much do those tunes normally cost and how long does the tune take? (In hours)
I hope this is not a stupid question but the dealer doesn't have the capability to do this, right?
Thank you.

oh hell no. Dealer will not mess with BMW's engine tune. They will tell you to buy the non comp pack M4 if you don't want burbles.
