OBD cable stuck

So I reflash to the latest version of BM3 and try to remove the cable and it won't budge. I'm putting some serious force into pulling this thing out with no luck. Any tips I've been driving around with this cord all morning.

LOL, it's far from being stuck. Use a 90 degree pick or small flat head screw driver to wedge the cable adapter off the tiny notch on the OBD port.

The cables you get from eBay / Amazon are really tight. I had to pull mine off like I was going to pull the dash off the car - far beyond reasonable.

OBD cable stuck

The cable I purchased got stuck to. It had a whole were the notch is supposed to be. I had to use a screw driver with tape on the end to prevent damaging the OBD port. It took me couple days to get it off. The cable should have a covered notch to allow you to remove it easily.

Got the f***ing thing off I've been at it all day. 20 seconds with the blow dryer and it popped right off. Removed the little plastic piece that it got caught on.

Looks like got same cable I did. That section where gap is should be raised and covered by plastic.

The cable on the left had the whole in it and I had to break the plastic piece to get it off.

I bought a new one on the right that has the entire whole covered.

So that tab should be broken off before using?
I have the same one with a hole.

Yeah I would break it off. It's still a snug fit so it won't just fall out.

By the time I found this thread, my obd cable was also stuck. In the event someone finds themselves in the same situation (where the plastic piece that holds the cables onto the interface has not been cut off), I was able to remove the cable by repeatedly rotating it towards the front and the back of the car while pulling down.

I had to use more force than I wanted, but I wasn't able to pry it off by wedging a small screwdriver between a nub on the car's port that the cable locks onto and the opening of the cable.

Like the posts above, I was able to easily attach and remove that same cable once I cut the plastic piece that was securing the cable to the odb port.

Just get the yellow cable on Amazon. It’s the best OBD cable imo
