Torque Wrenches
I'm in the market for a new torque wrench. Previously had a 1/2" craftsman. What's the best out there now? Are the digital wrenches any good? Any features ? Any recommendations?

I have a cheap $100 ac delco digital from amazon. It goes from 5-100lbs and it makes the rounds in my group of car buddies. Everyone loves it and I love that you can hear it building towards peak torque so no guess work.

Good to know. Tekton delivered today (Amazon prime rocks). Will be using to torque wheel bolts this weekend after removing spacers.

i bought a husky torque wrench from home depot. lifetime warranty and the store is accessible if you need a replacement in a pinch. i've had to get it replaced before and it's walk in with the busted one, walk out with the new one.
the craftsman torque wrench one year warranty was a discovery i made too. i try to buy craftsman if i can but it's hard when competing brands do a better job. maybe since black and decker owns the brand and you can get the tools at lowe's now they'll catch up.

Based on THIS test, the Harbor Freight Icon brand is actually more accurate than the equivalent Snap-on. It was more accurate and had less variance. Dunno about long-term durability but when it's a difference between the $350+ for the Snap-on with a 1-year warranty and the $110 Icon with a lifetime warranty I think I'll be buying the HF tool...
