bought a CPO M4 from the dealership and found out odometer&DME has been tampered with

So I did a Carly used car scan on my F82 M4. And Carly had a warning on DETECTED odometer tampering warning, highest logged mileage in the computers vs the odometer showing in the dash has WAAAAAAY more clicks logged.
I have all my scans dated and logged myself and I sent my car back into Town & Country BMW to scan as per what BMW Canada told me to.
They told me that I should expect my car back around Monday (as if plugging it into the OBD2 and scanning takes days).
The service adviser actually started to make arguments about the cars service records and said it looked normal. Which showed a two year time skip from when the car was taken possession from the first owner till when i took possession. He also tried to convince me that 20something k clicks a year is average for cars but not their BMWs.

Is there anything I should look out for?

*update the dealer said nothing was wrong. (just the previous owner tuned the car and reverted back to normal upon returning his lease) but when i scanned it again the warning is still there. I went to my friends garage and got another scan tool to scan and it popped a DME program or data manipulation detected also. Then i scanned a few other bmw with Carly to see what happens and all is normal.

So now I have another issue
#1 the scan tools i dont believe would make up a random mileage reading out of the blue. (I just need to know where to look and print)
#2 The dealer pretty much admitted to me they sold me a modded CPO (which means all my warranties are void)

My friend told me he got a full printout of all the data of his Audi, it was stacks of paper. Is there something like that for BMW?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sucks to hear that, but I can tell you that I have been in a coders car where he was able to drive around on the same mileage on his dash. Said it was something they were working on but I don't know if it ever went prime time. Seams like a good thing to have when you Lease a car. Unfortunately for you the dealership should've caught that when they scanned it and flagged the car not ready for CPO. I'd have BMWNA review the case and see if they can buy the car back from you.

They should make it right. (Unless it's different in Canada)

I can confirm that there are devices (I don‘t wanna go in detail) which can be installed / removed within minutes that can prevent your odometer from logging miles. You will have your speed displayed etc and everything like normal, just the miles will not go up. Some devices can even be turned on / off with a button combo from the multifunctional steering wheel. Afaik these devices are available for all F Series and even some of the G Series already

For me this is very sad to know because it makes buying a used car almost gambling...although I don‘t know if these devices will flag your car somehow and I know there are other ECUs logging mileage as well, so there are ways to identify those „cheater cars“. Just not for the normal „good faith buyer“ (don‘t know if that term even exists in english)

So after emailing a bunch of higher up executives in BMW HQ(both NA and Canada) they decided to “look into” this issue. I got Canada hq emailing me back asking how I would like this resolved. And I got a manager calling me from the dealer asking the same thing. He now asks me how I scanned the car as they are not able to do it. And they only found out from BMW Germany, saying the car periodically sends info back to the servers telling that “it’s still there”.

I told them I will look into my schedule to arrange a meeting. I just want to be fair no more no less.
To me the car isn’t for keeps as nobody knows how the car was pushed (with warranty being void, now that he says bmw Germany has the cars info then it’s flagged there also no doubt) and the mileage has also been rolled.
What should I want?

One or two state law enforcement agencies would be glad to look at this case. Odometer tampering is no joke.

I would think that a tune for HP wold do nothing for the odometer. otherwise there will be loads of BMW cars with odometer issues coming up in the future.
