BMS clutch stop is amazing

I just got my F80 last Saturday, never having owned a manual car before, but it felt like the clutch was weird and my sitting position was off. It caused me to move my seat up a lot and being that I am somewhat tall, 6'0'', my legs were all scrunched up when not pressing any pedals.

I learned about the BMS Short Throw Clutch Stop and installed it 20 minutes ago and did a test drive. All I can say is WOW. The difference is like night and day. I can move my seat back and straighten out my legs. The car feels so much more driveable now that I can modulate the clutch better.

Highly recommend if anyone is having issues with driving seat position.

Yep. Absolutely the best mod there is for the $$$ in a 6MT. Had one in my F30 and switched it to my F80 right after delivery. Night and day in my opinion. Everyone with a 6MT should spend the $10.

Installed mine this weekend and highly recommend it. I wouldn't bother detaching anything to access install area. With a few minutes of uncomfortable body contortions you can do it reaching from underneath.

Hi I used this for a few months trouble free but then this happened? The post is plastic and a bit rubbery but I never gave it much thought. I'll email them I guess.

Did you guys removed the lower dash to get to the stop, or did you use the clutch slit in it? I'd rather not remove the torx screws . . .

No need to remove anything...just get some light down there and it is pretty easy. 5 min job.

I tried it then removed as I didn't like the feel when the pedal hits the stop. Seems like lots of people like it though.

Man, I put this off for a while thinking there was no way it could make that much difference. Boy was I wrong. It truly is night and day. Makes the car feel more like a normal MT and weirdly, the care feels more controllable and more nimble.

If you're thinking about it, don't. Just do it.
