For those who bought out of state, how did you ship your M car?

Looking for a shipping company as my car has to be brought in from half way across the country (coming from a BMW dealer).

Anyone have any recommendations or good experiences? I'd like to go with a closed carry obviously to avoid any weather problems / rock chips / etc. Okay with paying a little more as long as the car shows up without any issues.

Thank you.

Guess you were able to get past your concerns.

The dealer arranged for shipping for me. Did you ask your dealer for shipping options?

Yes, got the 3rd party PPI, everything was clean Now it's just down to paperwork, FedEX on the way and setting up shipping. They said they would have some options, but just trying to gather all the input I can. Figured others may have positive reviews for shipping companies.

Thank you.

I can understand why you would wanna ship the car it had crossed my mind. New car not used to driving it and driving in strange places with a new car. I'll be honest just like people decide to do ED I decided it's just a car (a very fun one) but just a car I ended up taking 7days off and enjoyed the car and did some sight seeing on the way back home and enjoyed it.

I shipped mine via my butt in the front left seat. Got the car late Monday afternoon in Bloomfield NJ and was in Austin Texas for an appointment late Wednesday afternoon, including having the 1200 mile service performed in Little Rock that morning.

I did a similar ~1800 mile drive home and had my 1200 mile service done on my way back right at ~1200 miles.

I went through this again this week.

Could not drive car as BMW is setup on pure E85 and 500 mile stretch with no E85. Not tuned on93 and I didn’t want to risk it in middle of nowhere.

CentralDispatch.com is what most of the brokers listed in the f30 thread noted above by mkoesel use.

They just take their cut.

Btw - I paid $500 for shipping but I'm only 6.5 hours away. I know that sounds drivable but it wasn't worth the time for me with my baby and work.

I drove mine back to Albany NY from the Performance Center in Greer, SC. I like driving though. Some people don't have the time, or want to spend the time. Did the 1200 mile service when I got home.

I've used a few different companies, for different cars, but none were better than Reliable Carriers. If I needed a car shipped, that is who I would use.
