BMW Remote APP not working

Hey!

Has anyone notice that the BMW remote app stopped sending addresses to the navigation?

Both my 2015 M4 and my 2017 X3 are not able to send the addresses.

Anyone knows whats up with that?

BMW Assist person said they, "were working on it", but I think that's BS. Would like to have this fixed as it is handy feature.

Did you do any coding just before it stopped working? Just wondering.

Not just you man, it's been down since the beginning of June. I also called in a month ago and was told it was a problem with the bmw back end and the google map api. No eta on the fix.

Online search in the car still works which uses the same google api, just not as convenient.

Mine hasn't been working for almost a year, the app asks to update to BMW Connected which doesn't work on Canadian cars.

If you are on iOS the app you need to use is "My BMW Remote US" via the Canadian Apple App Store.

That's not the right app. You're using the wrong app. Re-read my post above.

No, the connected drive account was created by the dealer when I took delivery of the car.

Thanks for the info, I coded the car right after I got it back from Germany. lol

Search Doesn’t work for me either, but the remote function and current location works.

canadian33 may be able to help. He only posts on the F30 board.

From what he's posted over the past few months I gather that for Canada, the Connected Drive backend is lagging vs other markets and they're pushing for an upgrade later this year.

Yeah search on the maps doesn't work. Everything else works fine.

So everything is working once I was able to add the M4 VIN number.

Sent a address to the iDrive and it is working excellent!

I recall a while back they restricted the find my car to within a certain distance. In the current version it would find the car irrespective of the distance. How does it work in the new version?

Well I haven’t tried this months version yet but in the last one (before the service went offline) I could pinpoint my car sleeping in my garage 50kms away while I was at work

Still v5.1.1

Yes you can see where your car is parked regardless of where you are located using the app.
