Final run of F80s in Individual colors at no extra charge

Wondering if any of you guys, insiders to be specific, know why BMW is sending dealers M3s with individual colors at no charge.

I had a '15 MW M3 and ordered another MW M3, the car just arrived at the dealership last week. While I was there, the GM tells me that BMW is sending him an individual color M3 at no charge. I thought it was too good to be true, but sure enough, he showed me the spec sheet and it said N/C against the color. He was nice enough to allow me to wait for the individual colored car before deciding which one to get.

So, two questions:

1. What is the deal with individual colors at no charge? Is there a catch?
2. MW or Imola Red?

I hope this helps those people looking to order an M3, or those sitting on the fence!

almost all dealers will be getting a few individual painted M3s. There is a set color pallet that BMW is rolling out. you will have to check with your specific dealer to find out what color they will get

its a way to boost some sales for the outgoing model and start out the summer runs

DMV got a shit ton of Grigio M3s over the past week or so. Wonder what other colors BMW will be releasing?! GOLFFRR what did you guys get?

the colors that are getting sent out are imola, GT, Daytona Violet, avus blue, LSB, maybe one other I dont remember
I am not sure what we are getting or got, last I checked they were not disclosed yet. Jimmy Bach (jbach@stevethomasbmw.com) most likely knows by now

Yep! "EOP" - The end of an era!

Imola Red over Mineral White, hands down! Resale value ("Individual") alone,
would make it, I believe, a no brainer!

Towson, Catsonville and Alexandria (sold) have them as well.

I kinda feel bad for all the people that got these colors and paid an extra 5k for them. Doesn't look like Atlantis is on that list....I would be a bit unhappy.

I see this being your classic card trick. My thought is the dealers will not discount these cars because the consumer is "realizing a $5k" option for "N/C".

Local dealer got the same. I was confused why individual was offered at no cost but now it makes sense
