Broken tension arm

Anyone have an issue with breaking their tension strut arm on there E92 M3? This is the 2nd time I've broken them. One on each side. This one broke from hard breaking which is weird, makes no sense *. The first time was from a pothole which can be understandable. This picture is the drivers side arm that recently broke

When I purchased the car 2yrs ago it was delivered on a flatbed truck. Don't remember but it's possible they hooked the car from the arms. But it is also 2yrs later

car was probably towed at some point and the tow truck driver hooked onto them and weakened them.
there are a ton of people that track who don't break these.

now that you broke "one on each side", you have new arms and should be good to go.

they'll always get the hooks out and you have to politely tell them you need tire straps. they are a little more work, so sometimes they snivel, but you are the customer- be firm.

Just bad luck. I'm sure they drove the car onto the flat bed and not wenched it. But maybe a prior owner had a tow and they used the arms
instead of the tow hook.

Anyways seems like you should be fine going forward.

So Judging from peoples responses if these cars haven't been towed from the arms you shouldn't run into this issue

pretty much. if you stick your head under the car, its the first thing you see. when i had my e46, it was the front control arms that tow truck drivers broke all the time...
