I'm going to purchase an M3 and have a couple questions

I'm looking to purchase a new 2018 M3. However, I found a 2017 with 10K miles and with all of the options that I want, for $66K. I know that the 2018s have different headlights and an updated iDrive.

I want to know:

A) Is this a decent deal on the car? https://www.audibellevue.com/used/BM...1978cae615.htm

B) Other than the headlights and IDrive update, is there anything else that is significantly updated on the 2018 models? It should be the last year of the F80 body style correct?

Thanks for the help guys, hopefully I will be in a new M by the end of the month.

I’d work on that price.

I looked at trade in prices for that car, anywhere from $49K to $59K, i imagine they got something mid $50K.

Always good if you can get it down to $65-$66k though it's hard to say how soft/hard the market right now, being 2018 is getting hard to come by.
The price seems to be inline with the local listing I've seen such as this one (no comp on this one):
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...046_isFeatured

I'd drive it, roll window down, check for any noise. Also if you can get access to paint-gauge, I've seen clean Carfax on car with the entire side painted.
Car is still under warranty for a good 3-years, so that works on your favor.

I do have paint gauge but will check tonight if it'll read the hood, side and trunk. I am sure my paint-gauge won't read the plastic fender and I think the trunk is also plastic.

we know they definitely changed the stick shift itself (they used the f30 version it looks like, or one from IND perhaps) - i would wonder why it got traded in already.

My F80 was $79,985 MSRP and i paid ~$73K after dealer discount and incentives. There was potential for another $1-2K in incentives that i didnt qualify for (loyalty, etc.). I originally started looking at CPO M3's, but i found that the ones i wanted (right options, low miles, etc.) the price is about where you are seeing... $66-68K. For another $5K, it was a no brainer (for me) to buy new. If the CPO prices were closer to $58-62K range, it would have made a more compelling case for CPO. But I didnt want to sacrifice certain options, i needed low miles, etc., so in my particular case going new was the way.

You need to weight what's important to you in order to determine if CPO, or that specific CPO, makes sense.

I got an '18 M3 MSRP 78,500 for 73,995.

Then I had 3k holiday, 1500 fleet, 1500 loyalty.

Essentially what you're about to pay for the used car.

If you need a contact in NJ PM me.

But that was during holiday, end of year incentives; the best incentives before discount seem to be $3750 right now. And off MSRP has not been crazy good, the other thread seems to quite down indicating not many great deals out there on new M3.

Always bargain hard but at the end market dictates.

AutoNation dealerships do not negotiate on used cars.
They are following no-hassle-price like Carmax.

$65,498 for used 2017 M3 is high..

I rather go with brand new M3/M4 with your own customization and peace of mind. You have much more leg room for negotiation and incentives.
On the other hand, yes it might be had to find an allocation but try nationwide. You will find something that you like and prefer. Good luck

I'd check these local dealers, bargain hard (shooting for $3500 off MSRP) before incentives
https://www.bmwbellevue.com/new-inve...nchor-model-20

https://www.bmwseattle.com/new-inven...nchor-model-19

https://www.bmwnorthwest.com/new-inv...nchor-model-17

Talk tho these guys, I have good experiences with them:
Bellevue, Mike Torchia
Seattle, Mike J. Brown
Northwest, Ron Hansen

And for incentives, go to www.bmwusa.com/offers
punch in your zip code then M3, you'll see the current incentives for your region.
